Eight domains, 30 tested skills, 98 questions, 134 minutes. Everything the exam can ask you, and how much of your score each part is worth.
The test is adaptive by module: your performance on the first module of a section determines whether the second module is easier or harder. That makes the first module disproportionately valuable, and it makes knowing the weightings below worth real points — the two Math domains marked 35% are together 70% of the Math section.
Reading and Writing
54 questions · 64 minTwo 27-question modules. Every question is a short passage of 25–150 words with one question attached, so there is no long-passage reading and no returning to an earlier text.
Math
44 questions · 70 minTwo 22-question modules. About three quarters are multiple choice and the rest are student-produced responses. A calculator is allowed throughout, and a graphing calculator is built into the testing app.
